My Camera 013The history of Samuels Homes spans almost 40 years, beginning with Jeff’s father, Stanley Samuels.  Stanley planted the roots for Samuels Homes in 1976, originating as a masonry contractor and later a general contractor specializing predominately in commercial construction. In 1971, Stanley and his brother-in-law, Norm, ventured into their first residential project, building a series of condominiums and townhouses in Northbrook, Illinois.  While Norm soon after moved to sunny San Diego, Stanley chose to stay in Northbrook and focus on his newfound passion – constructing custom homes.

It all started with a small subdivision in Northbrook and parcel-by-parcel, Samuels Homes began to grow.  Today, Samuels Homes is proud to be recognized for its award-winning craftsmanship of home building and remodeling in the Chicagoland area:


  • Braeside – an elegant community of 10 homes on 1+ acres sites near Voltz Road/Bridlewood
  • The Courts of Stonehedge – a neighborhood of 13 custom single family homes at Greenview and Willow Road
  • Mallard Creek – located on Mallard Drive, this subdivision features 19 custom single family homes
  • Woodmere – a three-phase development of 33 custom single family homes at Pfingsten and Techny Road
  • Normandy Hill Townhomes and Condominiums – on Dundee Road
  • Carlyle – a community of 15 custom ranch villas on Dundee Road


  • Ranging from 2,800 sq. ft. to 14,000 sq.ft., Samuels Homes has built custom homes for clients in Lake Forest, Highland Park, Glencoe, Skokie, Evanston, Long Grove, Wilmette, Deerfield and West Rogers Park


  • Prairie Grove (Buffalo Grove) – a development 57 sq. ft. single family semi-custom homes
  • Prairie Place (Buffalo Grove) – located just north of Prairie Grove, is a seven-lot, semi-custom home subdivision
  • Gregg’s Landing (Vernon Hills- 15 homes in the beautiful Torrey Pines subdivision. Home sites featured golf course and park view lots, sites with walk-out basements and partial look-out basements
